It’s going to be one of those days The drag link is off and now trying to remove the idler arm WITHOUT damaging it. So far no go. The dam pullers are all slipping. Going to get some 1/2-20 nuts so I can smack it out. Sometimes brute force is the only solution……
It is probably a reman. It is not a 71, as they were well into the 72 model year by Nov., and a 72 model year starter would not have a 73 date code on it. If my brain is working, then the 36th week of 73 is into the 74 model year.
You are correct I've been stung many times but always sucked it up thinking lucky they even make stuff for these wonderful cars but their comes a point were enough is enough & this for me is that point
The mansion expansion will be 12 x 14, attached in a similar way to the front porch. The house got mostly new stuff. All my old stuff still in boxes can go in the addition, which will be not visible from the road. Can also be the guest room, winter inside stay warm work room.
I used to own a 64 four door sedan with a slant six.

Did 20 mpg on an imperial gallon.
Also owned a 72 Fargo step side pickup. It was a bit better for fuel economy. But I crashed it in the snow. My one and only serious crash. No damage...
