    Finally came up with a solution for the over-center spring with a diaphragm clutch.

    Mine has had the over center spring removed. The Centerforce dual friction diaphhram has been in the car since 2004. Pedal has always come to the top and felt normal. No extra spring. Doug

    The scar has healed but first thing in the morning I can only close it about half way. I was told it could take up to a year to get back to normal.

    I was holding the socket with my left hand while turning the ratchet with my right. When it let go the socket fired back into my hand. The ratchet ended up about 10 feet away.
