Still can't find anything answer to this. Here is the passenger side hinge which again I'm 99% sure has never been removed from the car, if it was a date codes it would be 92nd day of 1974.

    Help 1972 Newport

Does the carb have an electric choke? I have an aftermarket carb with electric choke that shorted out and it started smoking the wire as soon as I turned on the ignition. Thankfully I caught it quickly and it only burned the choke wire. The bulkhead connector is a common failure point as...

    Help 1972 Newport

It may be in the field coil in the alternator Disconnect the voltage regulator then try it. Then do the same thing with the ballast resistor to rule out the ignition. What does the engine harness and bulkhead connection look like?

"Building inspections"... I remember those from when I lived in over-regulated, more northern locations. :) Hell, this county doesn't even HAVE a building inspector.... I have invited the town electrical inspector out to have a look at my self-installed wiring before though - even though he has...

Stop on in for a cup of coffee!

On my first half cup right now. It's the extra that won't fit in the wife's mug. I have to milk and sugar her coffee but until a few years ago, she wasn't a coffee drinker at all. She was a Mountain Dew girl. Can't stand that stuff.
