Hey Guys,
Looking to wire up some accessories in my 68 charger. Ledlights, fans, etc.
I was told to run relays. Just wondering how wire a relay properly to the load? I’d like to use LED Switches so I know when the accessories is on.
Is there a certain numbered terminal on the relay I put the...
Have you upgraded to LED tail lights? If so do you like them, work well, etc? Where/ what brand did you get? Im specifically looking for my 69 satellite.
I just have the old screw in sockets but I replaced the light bulbs with the 4 section LED's. Bought them at Menards for $5 each. Nice thing is that they are adjustable. I have them in all 3 garages now. Something like these.
Other than car work today, I replaced two ballasts and four fluorescent tubes in five fixtures in two shops (between the two shops, there are 30 fixtures total), partially wired for adding some new supplemental LEDlights, treated for termites around four buildings, and cut down some trees.
Do NOT put LED "conversion bulbs" in an old school light assembly.
When you have a bulb, the light exits the bulb in a 360 degree field, and it bounces off the reflector in the light assembly. What you see from outside isn't the 3/4" light bulb...but the reflection of that bulb in the 20...
I was going to use the switchback bulbs so the DRL are white like normal DRLs.
I was looking at these bulbs:

When the park lights are actually on they would act like white “fog lights” and switch to yellow...
I watched the video and the Putco's are by far the brightest. With the brake lights on, the perimeter is red but the center is bright white, more like a headlight. I'd want a brighter red brake and taillight, rather than just brighter. Just one man's opinion.
Before you do anything! Take a volt meter and record idle volts and at 1k rpm.
Let us know what's going on. Ledlights are nice but a real pain to deal with when halogen might be enough.
Looks like Classic Industries has rebooted an older design of LED tail lights for the 69-70 Chargers. The wiring plugs right into the tail light socket. Non sequential.

Yes, I would still buy the Putco bulbs for any classic ride. They are the best and brightest LED bulbs you can buy. Just watch that Cougar video. No tail lights removal or painting required. Just plug and play.
By the thread title I assumed you wanted the brightest tail lights.
If the LED retrofit lenses looked as good as some new cars do, I'd be on board.
Note the even glow on the taillights of the Challenger:
I'd rather have a 3rd taillight mounted inside than to have these spotty type lights:
I don't mean to talk trash about anyone else's choices, I just don't...
I remember when ledlights were not common noticing led brake and turn signals appearing to have an instant on and off look to them…aside from how BRIGHT they are like sitting behind a Cadillac at a stoplight at night. Gave seeing ‘red’ another meaning.
Post 23 explanation seems to ahh…explain...
I have one of these LED shop lights I paid full price for a few years ago. The light is very bright. I use it when working under the car by laying it on the floor. I also have one for under the hood hanging with the chains from the ceiling.
Well I tried the LEDlights linked earlier in this thread, and my flasher stopped working. I put it on the left side and turned just the parking lights on.
Seems slightly better. When I turned on the flasher it was very bright but not flashing and I didn't think to get a pic. I put one of the...
