According to a Mopar Muscle Article 03-2005, F-Body Volare/Aspen 1976-1980 disc brake spindles work on 1972 and earlier B-Bodies.
The differences in spindle geometry are small enough to be insignificant.
You can keep 14 inch wheels by using 11 inch rotors. If you increase rotor size to 11.75...

You didn't mention the engine you have.
If you have an LA series, there is no push rod. If it is a B/RB, the pushrod should measure 3.22 inches. Yeah, you can run the engine with the pump removed. the pushrod will just slide down and be clear of the lobe on the cam.

Put one on, it will help at slow speeds and some all around. Make sure it seal to your aftermarket radio well. Add insulation foam if not.
1969-70 used dodge charger gas cap and two body rings. Was outside and got some surface rust. Will clean up for a driver. $40 PayPal f&f or local pickup for $20.
