I have two side tracks that are isolated with a switch in each one, one to park the DC the other for the DCC. All the turnouts have switches to operate them. Switch on the DC controller and switch on the DC side track and vice-versa for the DCC.

    Under Dash Brake Spring

The reason some cars don't have that spring is because it's a royal PITA to install from under the dash.

You are correct for most of the short passenger trains used in towns and cities. But it seems like 99% of model trains are modeled after one of the more famous ones that did use an observation car, including the Rio Grande which was also the Zephyr I believe

1973 charger top "A" arm bushings

The Moog K-7103 upper control arm bushings do not fit the 1973 Charger. 1973 - 1979 B-bodies, and 1979 - 1981 R-bodies use a larger bushing (Moog K-7058) with their different adjustment design. The following image shows the K-7103 bushing with the K-7058 bushing plus the stock type bushing used...

I'm looking to save a windshield that has wiper scratches in it. I will also try it on a wagon back glass if it goes well. Looking around, it seems like it is possible to polish these out. I'm wondering if anyone here has done it before, is their is a kit or product you used that did the job...

OBS cars are also almost always special plan built, meaning no two of them are the same. If you want an entire consist of a passenger train from a specific year, those are available- Yowza!

Next to you, I know nothing!! I'm already getting more in a few minutes than I ever knew in my lifetime. This started out as an art project with a 50 dollar used DC train set. Theresa said I need a train that makes sounds and the rest is history!! LOL. Lake with a waterfall in the left back...

For all of You Train Lovers

Actually, most passenger consists did not use an observation car. Those were reserved for special "named" trains like those mentioned above. OBS cars are "one way" and required turning, unlike other passenger equipment that could simply be shuffled and run the other way.

    Correct steering box

My Dodge is a 77 van. It wandered all about. I discovered this was a common problem with the camper vans. An Irish guy with a steering box company said he was familiar with the problem and could fix it. I did not know about new replacement boxes at tne time, so I paid him $450 and he fixed it...
