Bristol Fan hasn't been here for nearly five years. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a reply.
I still think my advice was good, and might apply to you too.
Edit: the 10k euro comment, should probably be 15k now.
The keystones you're looking at move the tire farther away from the springs and upper control arm, compared to your current setup.
I'd be more worried about rubbing the fenders.
I can almost guarantee the 15x10s won't fit unless you jack the back up to the moon.
I use an Uplula, works great for me on everything from 22 to 45, and everything in between.. I haven't tried it on my 50 round 10-22, but I doubt it will work on those.
Well, usually they don't make noises. They just quit working. (The cone bottoms out on the case. )
If you do a burnout, and it's a right tire one wheel peel, your cone is toast, and will only get worse if you abuse it Too much abuse, and nobody will be able to salvage it.
A worn out cone can be...
He's arguing over a name. Mopar guys want their posi's called sure grips cause that's what mopar called em
"Posi" is technically a Chevrolet term (the other GM divisions had their own names for limited slips too). In my opinion, posi has become generic, like coke for a cola, bandaid for an...
Real organisol is not available any more that I know of.
I've heard of chassis black used with a wrinkling agent.
I'd check with the A12 guys to find out what they use.
I do know that gloss black is wrong wrong wrong.
I have a roll-around Schumacher that still works good, that is forty years old. But it has ZERO automatic features. I'd better not forget it's on.
I use a couple cheap little lead acid/agm chargers from hf much more often.
Do you KNOW if you have a suregrip or not?
I'm not too familiar with the cone style, I have a clutch type, and a locker in my cars (not counting the two with spools).
I do know there are tutorials here on how to diagnose and repair the cone style. I believe there is a breakaway specification...
As a 62 Plymouth owner, I think the 62 Dodge is a better looking car. I like the quarter panel detail better, as well as the taillights. But don't get me wrong. I've had my 62 for 40 years, and I love em.
Way, WAY back when, I had a pair of blown-out glasspacks set up like header mufflers on my car. The mufflers were so empty of packing, if you hit em with a wrench, they would ring like a bell! About 95% of no muffler at all. Got old, real fast. Since EYE got old, QUIET with great power is my...
I would back the shoes off completely, till there is NO drag..... then mount and tighten the wheel and see what happens. If it still binds up, you'll know where to look.
A friend of mine had a 271 horse mustang coupe with a four speed (I think the four gear was mandatory) many many years ago. It was impressive.
The 271 was never put in a Falcon or Maverick, but I think you could get one in a Fairlane. It was an nice little engine.
That 302 in the maverick was really weak! Not even remotely like the 302 of today, with 50 more years of development. If I remember right, it was well under 200hp, and two barrel only.
I don't think I could put up with a two chamber flowmaster , let alone a single chamber! Those had to be louder that the mufflers I had on my race car!
But I had a pair of somewhat short hooker Aero Chambers on my car, and I liked.the way they sounded.
They are a chamber muffler too, but did...
2" hookers, 3 1/2 collector, 3 1/2 pipe, into giant big block series flowmasters,
mandrel bends over the rear axle, 3 1/2 tail pipes to the bumper, and turndowns.
Some don't like the Flowmaster sound. I do, and I'm not worried about losing power with 3 1/2 in/out. But dang, this system is...
