Do I need 90 degree oil filter adapter for headers?

I used the trans-dapt filter relocation kit and mounted the filter to my fender. I just made sure to keep the hoses as far from the headers as possible. No issues after 2+ years.

    65 Belvedere wagon sending unit

So I used a small wire wheel and cleaned around it good. Soldered it and kept a damp rag over the sending unit connection plastic. Then used my dremmel along with a small file to clean excess solder off and put it all back together. So far so good. No leaks.
