I have had a few cases on any year that the bulb is wrong or defective. Won't hurt to check it. A ground second guess.

Are you a 0-60 guy or a top speed guy?

I missed that. I was in Hawaii or had moved to Canada. But in about 67, the British Zephyr was claimed to do 100. I was on the Southern Motorway heading towards Auckland and pulled alongside one. He increased his speed until the Zephyr would not go any faster. Sheze gonna blow yelled my...

    Built vs Bought

My point was if they worked for the money, not inherited it, work is work.

I feel your pain.I hit the wall at the stripe (100 mph) in my 69 coronet.A front tire blew out. It didn’t do near as much damage as yours, and was able to fix it. I will miss the debate he sparked here. So many times I agreed with what he said, just not the presentation. As a fellow GTX guy, I appreciated his views on not messing with what the factory created. No question, he loved the cars as much as any of us.

    Built vs Bought

Can't have a buyer without a builder. They go hand in hand. Some may not like it but it keeps the culture alive. Best rule is to not be a dick about it on either side of the carb
