    Lookie what $5000 buys you....

Late model GM hinges are welded, Body shops bend the hinge to adjust them... Look at the picture above, it shows the adjustment..

    Lookie what $5000 buys you....

I have cut up several A body cars and one rusty Satellite station wagon. I'm pretty sure that every hinge that I saw had some manner of body caulking/Dum-Dum between it and the A pillar. I never tried to adjust them. I assumed that they were not adjustable. This is good to know though, it may...

Come on, Runner....Steve did nothing wrong. Like him or not, Steve just tries to stoke conversation on the forum. I see nothing coming from Steve that is inflammatory or controversial.

Thanks to all for your thoughts. Finding parts has been somewhat frustrating; us Mopar guys collectively are a crazy bunch. It seems that anyone with a few rusty old parts is looking to retire on them. I have been lucky enough to find a few things at a fair price however. Clearly, the...

    Built vs Bought

I wasn't trying to start anything. I was watching a drag race video of bought vs built. It was mostly early Mopars vs late model Challengers. It made me think about the bias against bought and if it was warranted. I'm certainly not against either side. I have to build mine, at least the last...

    Lookie what $5000 buys you....

on a car without a cowl panel or a header panel, such as a Challenger......... you have unlimited space in which to place the hood, so they are much easier to set up

I know we talked after this happened. Glad to see you're going to get on it. I've been very lucky. Side ways once at the 660. And once thru trans fluid at the shut down. It all happens so quick. Doug

Going to be changing the coil pickup on my 70 RR, planning to do it in the car, do I need to get to TDC before I pull the reluctor off or is there no chance of anything getting off? Thanks, wire on the outside of dizzy got melted unfortunately and can’t be salvaged. The motor is a stock 1978 440
