Dare to be different? Eau de Skunk is not just a fragrance; it's a challenge.
This audacious scent captures the essence of midnight encounters with wildlife and early morning garbage raids, all in a chic bottle. With an explosive blend of potent musk and a not-so-subtle hint of burned rubber...
Unlikely, unless the bearing has failed and the seal is broken. However, there are only a few ball bearings in that bearing, so when the seal fails - which is part of how the balls stay in place - the bearing gets pretty loud. In other words, when green bearings fail (in my experience) they fail...
Same here, been using them for years. However, those people that are road racing or auto crossing it’s recommended not to use them. Has something to do with the lateral stress on the bearing.
I think you're right. Not the belts as they are aligned and new. I'm thinking it must be a pulley. Call me crazy but I'm leaning toward the water pump pulley but could be the bottom pulleys too. I hear what you're saying about the squeal driving you crazy. My old truck was doing the same for...
Congratulations to 'alsant' (FBBO) for winning the "Top Picker Eliminator" title for the 2025 NHRA Nevada Nationals with an outstanding total of 173.5 points. He picked the winners of both Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle, his Funny Car pick lost in the final round of eliminations, and his Top...
My 67 Plymouth Off-white (very off) GTX was painted in single stage by the previous owner 25-30 years ago. Unfortunately I think as far as small dings go, he was the Ray Charles of home body work. On top of that I managed to chip the edge of the door and the front cowl panel some years ago when...
Do it with or WO the ac on will narrow it down
Not likely its the idler belt as it has no real draw to it persay UNLESS the water pump is to tight
I fought this same thing several years ago on different car
Take rough sandpaper to one belt at a time, go for test drive see what happens
I would try to isolate it. Run it with the a/c belts off and see what happens. If it does it right away on a cold engine you could then try it with the a/c belts on the the WP belt off.
For all of the warnings about the catastrophic failures that will occur with these things, I have yet to see any on my cars.
Now, I only had them put on a set of axles because it was done before I learned of the potential for failure BUT they haven't failed yet. I've put 3000+ miles of road...
This 1966 Plymouth Belvedere II two-door hardtop underwent a refurbishment that was completed in 2020 and is powered by a 493ci stroker V8 featuring a Comp Cams camshaft, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Hooker headers, and Edelbrock components mated to a three-speed TorqueFlite automatic...
Certainly one of the more educational and entertaining guys on this forum. I’ve always enjoyed Bobs fine and articulate postings. We’ve lost one of the good guys. RIP Bob. You will be missed!!
My factory AC/PS 67 GTX fan belts are driving me crazy. The belts are all new Dayco Top Cog belts. They howl just like the others I’ve tried. I’ve made sure the pulleys are all aligned via straight edges and wood dowel rods laid in the grooves, to perfection, adjusting any that were not...
