Yes. I have some laser welded chromoly samples. It’s nearly 100% penetration on .083 wall chromoly. The handheld laser torch is very cumbersome to use on tubing. Until they get smaller, like a TIG torch, they’re not practical for cage work. They’re great for nearly everything else that’s thin wall.

Also just discovered Mike Rowe( Dirty Jobs), has a show there, "Somebody's gotta do it". First show on an aircraft carrier.

My youngest son Kyle is 21 and just received his commercial pilot license on Monday. He will complete his CFI next and start instructing to build hours. He is a busy kid flying, working and college.
