    So I cracked apart the engine and transmission. The flex plate is made for a crank position sensor. It was not bad getting them apart then unbolting the torque converter. It does not look factory. Is this a lockup transmission?

    I know, me too. I learned to drive in a 62 Ford with three on the tree, that's one of the reasons I fell in love with this car, and bought it. But the trans is in trouble, and parts aren't available for it, plus my wife wants to drive it :), so automatic and P/S it is, lol.

    I’ve never touched dry paint with acetone, it readily removes permanent marker, but I assume it is detrimental to paint.
