Well Vandan, I sure would appreciate some pics whenever you have the time, thank you. This is my daily driver, even through the winter, so I would like to have that info to be ahead of the game. I'd like to get it done in a day or two, so pics could help me avoid some surprises that I'm sure I'm...
Doing some research, it looks like the primary bores would need massaging and possibly the carb mounting holes redrilled. You’d have to set the Dominator on the intake and see, IMO.
Let me know if you’re interested. Thanks!
A few weekends ago I blasted and epoxied the front bumper grill mounts and rear brake drums:
The weekend after that, I worked on my Wife’s Jeep. Ah, the joy that is replacing the oil cooler on a pentastar 3.6!! You have to take the top of the engine off to get to it. Many broken locking...
Me, The Belvedere, my camera and a covered bridge all in the same place at the same time. Re-furbished in 2024, it's a shame they had to "idiot proof " this old bridge. A sad sign of the times.
Are there different housings? 727 transmission. I have to put a 38 gear in. Know you have to clock the housing. Mine is only marked 21-25. Looked online to figure out how to clock it figuring I would see how. and don’t see any that are like this. All start 26-31
Thanks!
I'm not sure if there is any brackets, for the push button set up, behind the cover plate. The p-b assembly should have the cage to mount it ? I can look back at some pics from mine, if that helps at all ?
To be on the safe side I'd say '62-'64.
The steering shaft is shorter for the power steering. The coupler is a different diameter at the steering box so you need one for power steering. Some are using aftermarket steering boxes. Then whatever steering pump you decide to go with you'll need the...
I don't remember which chain I used last time but it's usually a nightmare. Superformance make a .062" gasket that would help for starters. And people always ask why it takes so long to build an engine nowadays.
It’s got a large spread on those bores. Bigger than a standard Holley 4 bbl.
I’m guessing some mods would have to be done.
Man, wouldn’t that look cool at a car show when you popped the hood??!!
What will I need to convert my 63 Savoy to power steering? From the research I've done, it looks like I can only use parts from maybe 62 to 65. Is that correct?
Thanks, Wally.
I have everything I need now to install the automatic trans in my 63 Savoy.
Does anyone know if all the bracketry and such is there from the factory to install a push button shifter?
