Kids, Permanent Black Markers, Classic Cars Don't Mix

Whatever you're going to use, try it in an inconspicuous location on the car first to see if something "bad" happens. I didn't realize you had single stage paint. I wouldn't try the easy-off. My 928 has a clear coat that is hard as nails. Gets harder with age? It's a 1979 model.

Why does the hood fit so badly at the front? Was he trying to replicate the factory quality?

    New guy from Utah

Hoghead54here, I've picked up a '69 Super bee thats pretty rough but has possibilities. No motor or tranny 4 speed car. Looking at it kind of makes me think I've jumped in the deep end of the pool with one hand tied behind my back but I'll get through it.

I've used that to clean up old cylinder blocks but would hesitate trying on a finished vehicle.

It's single stage but the painter said he mixed clear in with it (not sure if just the last coat(s) or all of 'em). Photo is day it was painted in Mexico (June 2015).

65 Belvedere II that just followed me home

Runs a 440 with a broom-handle for a cam. .....more mild than Clark Kent. It is an ultra-clean car though - surprising since it came from Oregon area. One family owned since new and only lightly restored once.

    Manual to automatic question

Hi Wally I must appologize as I've missed your request for assistance right back to spring! I've done a few of these conversions as I own two '63 Canadian built Dodges and one American built Plymouth wagon. The part you are missing is an aluminum casting that the button box bolts to. I've...

70 Charger Dash Pad Help / Advice

I restored my 70 Charger 500 10 years ago. The original dash pad was still in one piece but at 45 years old (and getting brittle and corners curling a little) I decided to have the body shop install a reproduction pad while they did the body work. (you can insert the jackass he-haw sound...

Yeah? Try LOSING 40,000 LIKES because some refresh wiped out a bunch! Yeah, in the grand scheme of things, the high count means nothing. I can't buy a meal with it, nobody with big boobs offers massages and I'm still subject to getting traffic citations despite having 140,000 +.

    Alerts not working?

So at the top right there's the little bell that gets a red tab with a number in it when there are new posts in followed threads. Ain't workin'. I thought it odd that there were no new posts, I clicked on the bell....and like 15 posts came up as "read: a moment ago". Happening to anyone...

Gotcha! The one I found for $375 shipped includes the bearings. I need to pull the crank, see what I have and take some journal measurements.

I feel sorry those who didn’t get to find the true taste. My parents believed that meat had to cooked thoroughly. Cooked wild game until it was hard to cut. I was told that liver had iron, didn’t know it was overcooked. Thought I was eating rusty files. Got married and found out that liver...
