How did you make out with that starter? I see it's twice the price, but is the throw on the pinion gear the same as your old starter? For some reason I cannot find a mini starter that will engage the flex plate for my 67 Chargers 383, the gear just won't come out far enough, very weird.

I found the nuts in the complete bolt kit I bought last year. It's 5/16-18. I bought some carriage bolts and will fix these tomorrow. Tonight is 4 yo grandson time
I'm been trying to see where all this top width talk comes from. I had to look up in these old application books to remember the 13/32", 15/32", and the 17/32". When people started throwing the mm in there, I knew that was not correct.
