Non computer controlled RWD with best gas mileage ? Car and truck

I bought an 88 S10 from a farm field sale. 2.8 V6 5 speed. Iirc, first year of 'computer controlled.' Has a throttle body, a few sensors, nothing major. Great reliable fuel friendly transportation. I saw an Aspen wagon with the OD 4 speed that would be nice.

    440 source heads

I got the dual spring heads on a bored 383, less expensive than rebuilding the 915s I was going to use, lighter, iirc flow better. I ran it with an RPM intake for a bit, no complaints.

What movie car would you enjoy owning?

The 64 Fury wagon in multiple background shots from Taking Woodstock. The worst movie ever made. Oh, wait, I do.

    Green Bearing Question

Don't forget there's a different gasket to make up for the thickness of the lock ring. It's not the same as the white foam gasket.

    Green Bearing Question

Some don't put in the inner seal when switching to green bearings, relying on the tiny o-ring. No idea if the o-ring is reliable or not, but I put some grease on them and always install a new inner seal for some insurance.

1974 Roadrunner Re-Paint and Some Upgrades

My friend has a roached Petty Blue Road Runner with a sunroof. Been sitting on that rollback for decades. I'm sure he wouldn't sell parts, but definitely the entire car. No idea on the condition of the roof.

    Fitech 6

I have the dual quad FiTech. Everything is GM based, O2 is Bosch. With the throttle body linkage hooked up, I set the IAC with the front tb, then secured the rear where it matched, aka wasn't pulling/pushing the front tb. Checked the IAC #, repeat if necessary. Make sure it has it's own clean...

    Fitech 6

Have you set the initial parameters, such as engine displacement, hp, timing control yes/no? Set the IAC? Verify the O2 sensor is good, I keep a spare. Even a new one can be bad and lead to chasing your tail. Check for error codes.

Proving My Mopar Street Cred... now prove yours

Late to the party, 2008, 67 Formula S 383 4 speed. Still have it. Not too shabby for my first Mopar. Bought out of a barn filled with Mopars. Nice to know I wasn't the only one smart enough to jump cars. High school, girlfriend's parents LTD wagon off a dirt bike jump, twice. Went so well I...
