Heard ALOT of GREAT things about this show and how its the best in the world, but sadly I will not be making it anytime soon although it is on my bucket list someday. Have fun to whoever goes and please take and post alot of pictures!
By the way Mr. Devil… there is already a post on this show...
Nothing wrong with pride in ownership. A lot of guys don’t have the time, facilities or the skill set necessary to build a car. They still have every right to enjoy the hobby, even if all they can do is write a check.
My biggest peeve is guys that lobby for votes at the local shows, I swear...
I've never had a show car and likely never will (due to cost). Years ago I had a very nice 70 Chevelle convertible that looked like it could be show quality until you were actually right up next to it. Drove it to the Peggy Sue car show in Windsor, CA. As we got near the venue there was a ton...

I managed to drop the trans fluid out of the’58 without making a mess, that may be a first for me. There was a little clutch dust in the pan and some super fine particles stuck to the magnet, but not enough to cause any alarm…
Having said that, a Bee or an R/T that were optioned with my bucket seats and console would be top notch. But I happen to like the 500 emblem and taillights.
They are not really expensive cars overall. $30,000 gets you a nice one. Being paint is $15k and a drivetrain rebuild can go to $10k. Getting one in really nice shape is a much better idea. Buying a beat up car for $8k and spending another $40k on it vs. paying $30's for a well done car? Happy...
