Does intake need machining after zero decking block.

Not fretting over it but I'm taking my time and had a certain 10:1 ratio in mind no gaskets are ordered yet, I want to cross my t's and dot my i's. I'm likely just going to shelve that manifold and get a new Edelbrock. The poor fitment of that manifold clears up a lot of issues I had with I...

Installing 4speed console in 67 Coronet

I could be wrong but i think that hole in the bulge plate is to access the bolt that fastens the main part of the console to the front console bracket. The photo below is an auto console but the manual console still attaches to the front bracket in the same area. The hole will be covered up by...

Does intake need machining after zero decking block.

A 0.050" gasket with all else the same would result in 9.997:1 CR. It is not worth fretting over for that small of a change. But, if you want to see numbers: 0.060" Thk = 9.674 0.050" Thk = 9.997 0.045" Thl = 10.087 0.040" Thk = 10.200 The 6pk manifold could have been milled and they did not...

    Mechanical six pack question

How do you have enough room for the metering block on the rear carb? I like the stock diagram set up. Really don't care for the GM set up.

Voodoo Rising - A Build Thread

Sorry I phrased that poorly. Original as in "made by Mopar" but not original to the car. The car did have the original 14" steelies and full covers with the pseudo knockoff centers when I got it, and those suckers held on REALLY well haha.

Well that sucks!! Snapped bell housing bolt

Did you inspect the threads before putting in the cap screws? I like to run a bottom tap into everything before nailing things together....

Well that sucks!! Snapped bell housing bolt

I just drilled out the bolt. Definitely some cheap crap metal. Not hardened at all. Going to try and chase the threads and then going back with factory bolts for sure.

    Billet Hood Hinges

I'm reparing a 69 Road Runner that had an engine/underhood fire and the customer provided a pair of Eddie's Motorsports billet hood hinges. I have to say I'm very impressed with them. First of all they look great. They also make the hood open and close very smooth. It was a bit more work to...
