    My 440 Refresh

If you’re thinking about using the pistons, measure the piston to deck distance at TDC. You’ll reference it often. Should be about 0.055”.

This fricken old age is getting old....

Congratulations on your long career, and enjoy your semi retirement. I pulled the plug at 62. The first year many honeydew's were completed. Second year more travel and working on my cars and offloading excess parts. Third year slowing down enjoying life, and prioritizing which projects will get...

This fricken old age is getting old....

Scary. Hydration factor? Next time you start talking Hieroglyphics, call 911. I am very familiar with this circumstance. Don’t mess around. Don’t care that you are 5 min from ER.

This fricken old age is getting old....

When they said "you might live to be 80" they never told you that the last 20 years is going to be a battle. You have to change some habits and just make the most of it. Good luck!

Why are there so many members on this early!?

Strangely since I've been laid off most nights I'm sleeping more, even compared to say a week when I was on vacation. My current theory is that when I'm working, even on vacation I'm always thinking about the next thing on my projects, but being laid off I know that chapter is over and I can...

YO, Who do you think Mega gets their harnesses from? Jamie gives a 10%discount anything over $1,000. Your replacing only the dash harness? There are some others factors here as to why I know that he's cheaper for the same product. Since we're all smart people here, sit down and figure it...

Here is a question for the flat tappet cam guys....

All of the above, every engine is different. One thing here, we all seem to agree that the rods have a lot to do with oiling the cam and lifters. Had an argument here 4 or 5 years ago with one of the engine builders here. Said that wasn't so. I just ended up walking away. He hasn't commented...

    Cleaning a white vinyl top.

...I get what I want. Thus, dish detergent on vinyl. One can always go harsher, but you can't back up and fix something that was damaged by cleaning.* There have been antiques that I cleaned with only a cotton cloth and light rubbing. The patina sometimes confirms authenticity and often adds...

Installing 4speed console in 67 Coronet

Does your console look like the one in the photos above? Specifically the large opening on the driver side? Maybe you should post a photo of your console WITHOUT the 4 speed cover plate. It does sound like your console has been cut incorrectly and is missing part of the plastic where it attaches...
