I think what Kiwi said is true. It’s good for small specialty batches, but not for an order of tens of thousands of pieces.

The problem I see is the time involved in stamping out one piece, plus it still needs to be trimmed.

Great for short-run production....but longer-term die-stamping is better for mass production. I can see AMD investing in this for short-run parts orders.....or at least I hope they consider it. Might help out the guys with one-year body cars.
