Correct for 1972 340 w/4-spd, 0584 Date (replacement). It's a remanufactured carb in decent shape but I would consider it a core only. All parts move freely. $125 plus shipping from MD or pick up at Carlisle or the Nats. Thanks for the ad!
Evidently the factory Thermo-Quad equipped 1973 340 (intake manifold casting #3671918) used a thermostatic choke along with an electric wire that attached to a solid state "controller" that assisted in opening the choke a little quicker than from crossover heat alone. Common knowledge/experience...

Hi guys...who have used both these manifolds on their 383 and did you notice a difference?
I have used the original Torker on a 340 and was impressed despite the normal Torker bashing.
Clutch fan was on the car for one month. Purchased from Mega Parts. Part #145-FC070. fits 1967-70 BB/hemi,1970 340. Price new was $225. Reason for selling went with a electric fan. Sell for $150
Just picked up a 73 with a 340 in it on the cheap. It has me kind of confused. The vin and fender tag indicate it came with a 400. It has a second tag with the letter H on it. Motor looks to be untouched with factory exhaust in place. As old as these cars are who knows what someone did.
