Pre production cars often had slightly different badging than production models. I remember the picture of a 1969 Mopar 340 barracuda, which ended up being the 'cuda 340.
So I pulled the heads on my 74 Road Runner 340 to do some valve work and drill out some broken off bolts. I think the original intake weighs around 10,000 pounds.....I'm thinking an aluminum upgrade...any recommendations?
...have to keep track of that one, so I get it watched! It looks like period show with lots of fun cars.
We can't seem to make time to work on our 340 dusters. We have a curious yellow 4 speed 340 duster and a green automatic 340 duster.
Most 340 dusters were drove hard and rusted away, the...
I’m curious, was it a 3 speed on the column or on the floor? Both my brothers had 72 Demons at one time, one was a 6 cylinder 3 speed on the column, the other was a 340 with a 3 speed on the floor. I’m wondering how they did a 318 3 speed. I’d guess on the column.
Like this one then.

...weather cools off. I've had this car since 1995 and have replaced all the parts except the back bumper. I also have a 77 Aspen and a 71 Dart posted on those sites as well. The Aspen has an Indy headed 340 stroked to 416 and runs mid 10s on pump gas as well. The Dart is a 340 clone with a slant 6
I use a Napa Gold 1085 filter with TTI headers and no adaptor. The 1085 is a bit shorter. I think the WIX number is 51085. This is on a 340 but it should be the same on a 318 I believe.
Thanks, but I like this one better, but that website is strictly an auction house? Some of those cars are sold, but they are still listed. No thanks.

I disagree about 66/67 being heavy cars.
A 2 door "23" body 66/67 is light as hell.
Almost as light as an A body.
...but the 340 was introduced in 68.
71-73 RR and Charger 340 cars could have 3 or 4 speed manual trans not all 727.
71 through 73 came with 8 3/4 axle.
Sometime in the 73-74...
