I have been using this smelly stuff in tin foil pie plates in my Charger Set one under the dash on the floor on each side in the front , one pan in the trunck and one under the hood where the battery sits and the mice stay very far away Come spring I just dump it back in the bottle till next...

how critical is installed valve spring height?

Yeah, I calculated the same change in spring pressure which worried me since Hughes likes stiffer springs. I bought the cam, lifter, spring, oil package from them for their "No flat cam guarantee" and am following their instructions, all 13 pages. I removed the seal and the cup was shimmed...

Mouse proofing for winter storage? There's not a lot of mice here but...

Dad used Bounce sheets and Irish spring soap bars in his 57 Chev and the mice ate the soap and chewed up the bounce sheets to make their nest :(

    Any Pontiac Fans here???

While not a firebird fan or bandit fan, just felt they are overdone.I really like the mid 60s Tin Indians. Their stack on headlamps cars were attractive and I feel they were better built then a Chevrolet. Some the 50s Pontiacs really look good.

Mouse proofing for winter storage? There's not a lot of mice here but...

I've only killed one mouse in 47 years in my garage. The next day I got rid of everything on the floor that doesn't have wheels and put everything on shelves. When you get down on the floor and look across my garage, you can see from one corner to the other. All you see is car tires, wheels from...

    Loose horn ring on ‘65

Better description: the play in the chrome ring is both rotational and in the direction of honking the horn. It’s been this way since I drove it in the mid 80’s. Rotationally, I can move it ~1/4” (measured at the outermost point of the chrome ring). In the ‘honking’ direction, the bottom of the...

1969 Super Bee...worth restoring? Or make it a driver?

I think the answer to the question relates to what you want to do with your Superbee. Do you want to drive it to cruise ins and cars and coffee? Do you want to take your family out for ice cream and cruise on Sundays? Maybe you’re more interested in hot rodding around town and doing some stop...

    Intake crossover block off

Update Well I went with Fel-Pro cross over gasket set , have taken all bolts out as of now. To my surprise I found one shorter bolt , once I have the intake off I will clean all threads out and see if there was a reason for that short bolt.

Wheels, axle shortening, spring relocation questions

I am now starting to add parts and pieces back to my 68 Coronet 500. I wanted to start with the rear wheels since I had lots of questions about my plan to begin with. First off, I LOVE the slotted aluminum wheels since I had them on my 68 Coronet 500 in high school. I appreciate that you may...
