The 850 carb has large[r] throttle blades. That means they let more air into the engine compared to a smaller carb. If the engine load/gearing is 'right', I could see that this engine could cruise at 60 mph on the transition cct.

Where are you reading the temperature? With a decent radiator cap, and coolant mix, it shouldn't be boiling at 225. Or 240.

This is a Used OEM Big Block Oil Pump #2203260. It is original not a china knockoff. It is in good condition, but could use a clean up. It has the red pressure spring. The four original attaching bolts are not shown in the pictures, but are included. $25.00. Local pickup, or buyer pays shipping.
