Yeah, I agree with you - to a point. With seatbelts, I don't want any potential of compromised material that could fail in an accident. I'd rather have new for that.

It seems to me that at this point you are guessing and not KNOWING where the problem is. Did you check AND MEASURE that the intake and head surfaces are parallel like in post 2806178 Intake Manifold Replacement - What Date Code do I need? ? Did you lay a straight edge across each head surface...

The air grabber is designed to close when the car shuts off. The solenoid opens the vacuum connection when the car is shut off. This way, it is protected from a heavy rainstorm or other stuff blowing into the opening.

Good morning all - having my tea right now after a late night. I ended up making "Sailor's Beef Stew". It is beef cubes, thick potato slices and onions that are each given some high heat frying to give them some color. Then they are put in a large pot with some peas, parsley and fresh thyme...

A brand new set of aluminum "ready to bolt on heads" had terrible valve seats and actually leaked so we had to clean up some of the seats. These were an "off brand" for a small block Chevy, but still, I would check whatever you get. I have also found that quality and price are often, but not...

It looks great. No one will notice any seams anyway - they'll just see a brightly lit, well appointed garage/ work shop and enjoy all the cars and tools. (At least I would.)

I build engines with my father-in-law now that I am retired (and he built stuff for Kenny Montgomery and worked with Grumpy Jenkins). Trust me when I say that for a street engine you want to build an engine for broad, low end torque. It's a big over simplication, but high RPM horsepower does not...
