I finally pulled 1979 date code redline tires off my 67 GTX in December of 2000. They show no sign of dryrot or any kind of deterioration. The fronts were beginning to show some wear on the inside. I did lower control arm bushings, 4 wheel brake job and new tires at that time. I trust bias ply...
As stated,.... the gas gauge only reads 1/2 tank when full. It has always done this since I bought the car (67 Coronet Coronet 440) 3 years ago. It is all original. Dash, Gas tank etc... It does go down as I use the gas. Any quick easy fixes to this?

I use mine for as much as I can and pay it off in full each month - now I get cash back from the interest ...or at least enough each month to save up through the year and make Christmas shopping less painful. :)...
Yes that seems to be the way it is for many of us. Bone on bone. Rips and tears. Aching hands & arthritis.
