First time to turn on the heater in the house today....

New houses here since probably the late 70's do not have NG...and this place was built in 76. My last house had NG but wasn't built with central AC. That place was built in 55. Here, the gas company didn't want to supply a free line unless I converted the whole house to NG....at first but then...

My friend advised me to pour a crankcase full of old oil on the floor.

Agreed. If he posted his tranny blew a seal.. I would definitely have to think about what actually happened.

    Sickening- Cracked Block - Repairable?

I would strongly recommend staying away from welding. I know people do it successfully, but its not for the faint hearted and stitch welding is a better solution.

Does a person with a perfect credit rating exist??

I had 1 of those 800+ credit scores. The theif that stole my identity thought was real handy. I do my best to have a goose egg now. Nobody wants to bother with stealing id for $500 limit.

I have seen that around here. It works. Now they have companies that come around and put Fluid Film in them.. I have a buddy that does his vehicles every year. ZERO rust on any of them. Makes a mess though where they are parked for the first week..
