Possible to remove rear glass and re-use gasket?

Yes it is possible to reuse it, depends on how well it aged. Only way to know it's to take it apart. The razor knife is the wrong tool for this. Remove trim, unlock the lock strip and open up the gasket. On a warm day put the car out in the sun before you try pushing the glass out.

    Discussing. Photos

My reasoning is simple. I don't know what the federal regulations about such things are and frankly I don't want to spend the time to learn and keep up with them as they change. I also dont want to be worried about being under scrutiny of the alphabet govt people

    727 transmission questions

Your dipstick placement in relation to the tube sounds normal for a 727 and you will lose fluid from the trans when the tube is removed. Check the fluid level at idle with the trans in neutral. Because of the increased pan depth your trans may have been fitted with a filter extension, either...

    727 transmission questions

Forgive my amature questions. I grew up in the wrong era. Being a mechanic for my career in today's day and age. I didn't have much experience playing with the cool old stuff like there was back in the day. I bought this car in June and am taking some stuff apart to reseal and make some slight...

Pg z Classic z bar service kit quality? Anyone used one?

I have purchased parts from Nigel since very close to the beginning about 25 years. Have always been happy. I have the Z bar bushing set, and it looks very nice. When in doubt I just call and find out delivery time and availability. Next time see if some nice staff member would possibly...

Need some opinions on wheel choices

Those are Centerline Champ 500's. There were a lot of off-brand clones of those, though. I think even Jeep put a similar design on their vehicles in the 80's or 90's.
