I don't understand being a GOLD member and yet not logging in. To me, that seems like having a big old 440 and putting a 3 HP lawnmower carburetor on it.
You are missing out on the benefits of the GOLD.
The correct method is proceed from underneath. From top is hard with #3. #5 and #7 gets the steering column shaft on the way but even makes a bit harder, is posible. Brake booster makes a bit uncomfortable also for the #7.
Passenger side is easier and can be made from top

Confusing I agree. The float rises, and via a lever, pushes down on the pistons to shut off fuel flow. I think the pistons may be jammed. I will check again the orientaion of the baffle plates; i had them backwards originally, and the top would not mate with the bottom of the carb!
My'97 Camaro SS is red. I noticed the advertisements of the time showed either the red or the white and orange anniversary models. Those orange and white cars have appreciated faster than red. At the time, I thought they looked garish. but sometimes that works as in the Super Bird and Daytona...
