This doesn’t need that much tire nor would those fit without significant mods. The 315 is a 30” tire and the 275 is a shorter 28” which, in this case, will work better with the gear in this car.

I ran a jumper for the sending unit and no difference with gauge. I see a couple of posts that said removing gauge wires and cleaning the connections was a fix and another posted retightening the mounting nuts was a fix. I also have another gauge I could try if these tricks don't work.
