What's the best slick for 4K 11.5 second car

I'm using the 4 7/8 bs cl too. Fit great on my 69 rr, needs a small spacer on my 62. (65 8 3/4 rear?)

What's the best slick for 4K 11.5 second car

Mine are on a 8.5 centerline. If you can find a 10" with the right backspace, a 10 would be preferred. The stock eliminator guys are running 9x30s on a ten inch rim.

What's the best slick for 4K 11.5 second car

My mistake, what I meant was MY car would be quicker on a 315. I doubt a 315 will fit his car.

What's the best slick for 4K 11.5 second car

Possibly not. But if I'm buying expensive tires to race on, I'm buying the biggest that will fit. That's why there's an 18/31x15 Hoosier QuickTime pro on my car. My car probably would be quicker on a 315 ET Street Pro.

What's the best slick for 4K 11.5 second car

O.P. asked about slicks, so that's what I suggested. He would probably be fine with the biggest drag radial that will fit under the car, or a bias Mickey or Hoosier ET street type. Tuning the caltracs might be necessary too

What's the best slick for 4K 11.5 second car

I'm currently running 10.5x28 mickeys that need replacing, with 10x28 hoosiers ready to go. If I were you.... I'd try the Mickey Pro Bracket Radials (slicks, not drag radials) 10.5x28, or 10.5x29.5, depending on room and gear. X5 compound.

Need some opinions on wheel choices

I was gonna suggest the daisies, to be different. But NOT the chrome ones! Gray, like in #43. Good luck finding em, and paying Fer em.

    Rear tire size

I agree, I think he's okay to the spring, but I think he's worried about the inside lip of the tub. (His top pic).

    Rear tire size

True, I've got some 17" nittos on one of mine.... but as said above, those are basically drag radials. Not what O.P. is looking for.

Looks like the Mickeys are on sale, and the cobras ain't. No brainer...... the Mickeys! My paper summit catalog shows the Mickeys higher priced than cobras.

I like em, but.... aren't they just Cooper cobras with a better name on em, and a $40 higher price tag?

If you don't mind 295/50s, there are several brands with white letters. Milestar, Venom, Cooper Cobra (would be my choice) BFG, Gripmax, Futura (Cooper brand). Not sure about 295 60 or 65s with white letters. Edit: looks like 295/65s are only available as drag radials, without white letters...

Post Pictures of Your Wheel and Tire Size Combos On Your Car

I have mostly 15s on my stuff, but I really like the looks of some of the vintage-styled 17" stuff. Five spoke 17s on my 55. I don't think I'd go bigger than the 17s though, unless handling and big brakes were a premium consideration.

Maybe ask for pics in the 71-74 forum. The ugly-*** black steelies and poverty caps on my 62 won't help you, lol.

    Rear tire size

All the 275 50 15s I found were some form of drag radial, Hoosier, Mickey or Nitto. Hankook does make a 265 50 15 street tire (kinergy). Theoretically 3/8" narrower section. So does Gripmax. Gripmax look exactly like t/a tread. IF you have the room, lots of 295 50 15 street tires.

Does a person with a perfect credit rating exist??

My gf gets two offers a week from discover, and shreds them. I might sign up for a discover..... but I never get one, lol. (But, if you forget to make the payment on time, just once, the interest and late payment charges eat up ALL that tiny bit of cash back, several times over.)

    8.25 rearend Strong enough?

Stick shift: no ALWAYS street tires, mild gear, stock (ish) converter. Okay ....probably. Driven like an idiot teenager (or me)? Might be time for an upgrade. Run ten year old t/a radials, it'll last forever. My opinion only.

The pic he posted is Kern Dogs car, and his are 18s. I don't know if Dave is running 15s or something bigger.
