On some of those old ThermoQuads, the phenolic (plastic) carb body can warp due to engine heat over the years. When this happens, there can be vacuum leaks, and the mixture screws will have no effect. To check this, take your carb apart again and rub the top surface of the body on 320 grit...

For flywheel side, I decided to go with these from Megaparts as I liked the look (closer to OEM IMO).

Flexplate to converter I was planning on using the original OEM bolts with Blue Loctite. I believe that's what I saw for recommendations.

The reason you'll never see that truck is the EPA. If the illustration in #1 is correct, the reason THAT Toyota is coming is because of the giant fender flares, to cover the artificially wide track. Without those flares and wide wheels, that truck could never get the mandated fuel economy...
