    So it must be a trim level upgrade - option for your car. That means the tail section sheet metal would have been stamped with holes....not drilled at a Dealership later on.

    Not relevant here ion this thread....but a '70 has the Air Grabber hoses going through this hole below the ballast resistor -non A/G cars have a dimple to mark the spot.

    I'm assuming it was added along with some other things at some point in its life. Probably at the same time as the Plymouth stickers on the fenders.
