2026 Toyota Hilux Launches in the U.S.: 201 HP Turbo‑Diesel, Rugged 4×4 Power, $32,000 Price

That is why the actual weight of this vehicle is going to matter. The power numbers shown are not that far off a 90's era 318 magnum. No one calls 5.2 Dakotas from that era "gutless". But the Dakota is under 4k lbs. If this new Hilux is in the 4k lbs area it will be just fine. If it is "safety...

They are O.K. to use, as long as you can still buy 1964- style lifters. The earlier style pushrod has a reduced radius on the end that meets the lifter. The newer pushrods have the same radius on each end. So, the piston in the hydraulic lifter is different between the two styles, as well, to...

    Updating the Super Street Mopar

I got the main portion of the column put together yesterday. So that it could be upright to be easier to work on and not mar the paint up, I popped a hole in some plywood so the lower tube could drop in. Put a bunch of duct tape down for padding/protection. I juiced up the lock cylinder with...

A day that shall live in infamy....

Thanks to all who served and continue to serve. My grandfather was almost stationed there except for the fact that if he went there he would have lost his vacation time, so he passed. He was a civilian government contractor who was in charge of shipping/receiving ordance. On a side note today...

Make sure that you get a set of the newer pushrods that fit the available lifters. I think they changed 1967-1968.

A day that shall live in infamy....

My Uncle Barney was aboard the USS Nevada, topside for church services that morning. He never talked about it to anyone other than his oldest daughter. After the attack, he spent the next few days doing body recovery. RIP Gunner's Mate, First Class.

What do you think of these rims on a Charger?

I went with 18 spokes on my Charger for street driving as well. I went with Shelby GT500 as the offsets works and inexpensive. 285 35 ZR 18 rear. 255 45 ZR18 fronts. Both wrapped in Bridgstone Potenza Sport
