Did you ever find the problem with your air grabber?

I have a 68 superbee. Factory 383 4 speed car. Just a roller. Nice body. Has had floors and quarters installed. 12k.

Even the NOS I bought for the Bee was TIGHT... no lube or sealant required!

Which is exactly why I suggested using a chrome one... They are oversized..

The trunk has had a piece of metal put in for the trunk floor. They glued the carpet down so I cant pull it up to show. But from underneath the car above tank it has had a piece of metal put in it. So it will need a trunk pan when the car get restored.

Left valve cover.. but ya! That current hose is from a '70 right hand breather hose that would have been used on a dual snorkel cleaner, or an original '69 non silenced cleaner base and not an N96 hood.

I'm slowly reinstalling my car's air grabber set up. My question....Is there supposed to be a hose running from the air cleaner base to the right valve cover? Included are pictures of what I have.
