The code is in the factory parts book. If it is like GG1, it could easily change by year. GG1 was different in 1966, 1967 and 68, 67 matched the steering column bracket, which had never seen the sunlight. The painter had samples mixed.

Summit has two versions of that wheel, one with 4" bs, one with 4 1/2 bs, for $15 more. Depending on your buddy's body style, I'd bet the 4 1/2 bs fits better.
