that's a good turntable and receiver. what is your issue? scratchy noises in the pots of the receiver is dust. Pull the cover and spray away. Disassemble to get at the pots according to your comfort level. It's not that high dollar of a receiver, while still worthy, so be brave. clean...

I bought an old corvette and its 1 of 16

For a short time in the 90s, US states could set speed limits. State Police couldn't adequately enforce speed limits on the "Montanabahn" so the courts rescinded the standard of "reasonable and prudent". I lived an hour from Montana, but didn't have anything worthy of the racer's rodeo, so I...

I bought an old corvette and its 1 of 16

Anyone else despise searching for parts on eBay these days?

Not to be nosy, but how do you do it? That many purchases of car parts means eBay offered you tens or hundreds of thousands of parts that had nothing to do with what you were looking for. One used to be able to enter "- fits", but that doesn't work for me anymore. Are you toughing it out...

    U-Bolts - Reuse or replace?

don't know about Mopars, but IH u-bolts are "torque to yield", meaning they stretch when brought to proper torque. The factory recommends replacement every time. They also recommend retorquing after use. For extreme use applications, re-use might be risky

Looking for a DC area Mechanic

get a vacuum gauge. I'm a self taught shade tree, but adjust the idle screws and timing until you get the most vacuum your motor can make. Hopefully, better mechanics will chime in

has anybody seen one in person? Thinking that for $40, I'll bet it would make me laugh at my dog. The fool thing is supposed to learn (might be a good influence on mine)
