Ive owned my car for nearly 4 years. And have put over 11,000 miles on it in that time. And yes, Its the real deal original hemi auto
So i can honestly say,,,,I drive my car. But Im not 25 anymore either.
Like mentioned earlier. The low back seats leave a lot to be desired on longer trips. And...
This the one mounted in the pass side dash like later ones
If so , I think all you need is the clock, and said dash pad
I added one to the 78 Magnum I used to own that way
pick / jack it up by lower control arm. Remove the 4 bolts ( 2 of them go thru lower ball joint) there will be some tension . But not enough to be a major hassle to reconnect or cause you to have to deal with the torsion bar .
I would just pull the cover. Carefully grind off the wire tab. ( carefully ) prep and repaint and call it good.
Of course this is provided your car is a 71 .
Best I remember there is / was a mid year change over between 70 and 71 models . But for the life of me can't remember when said date was
My car had an nos one installed 22 years ago. No issues.
I bought a nos one for a spare last year...just in case. I paid something like $200 for it.
So I should be good for the rest of my days
Reason for the extra nut was on early cars the PCV was on a metal can that slid down on a tower , later cars the PCV went in a rubber grommet
All hemis used the cap / tower arrangment from 66-69
Reason for the hex shape I can only assume was to aid assy on said tower type setups
I have a NOCO tender on the car
Where I worked we had NOCO brand jump boxes. They could sit for 2 weeks between charges with no issues. it would Still jump most anything pass car or truck
If it gets low,, plug it in the morning time when we get there until about lunch time and you are good to go.
Interesting timing as I was contemplating it was time to go thru the valves on mine.
