You're below the axles rating, and don't have his 1st gear, you're probably somewhere around 5900 with your 1st, final and hp.
Tq twists axles regardless of trans style, and slicks help, drag radials would be harder
Look at it like this, you have 600ft even if you have the same 1st i do 2.7 that puts you just over the 30 spl capability by 300 ft.
If you have the 2.4 1st you're right on the number and why you aren't having a major break within 2 or 3 passes.

The D-60 uses 35 spl axles (cars SF) and still has LS options at 35 spl where other diffs do not and instantly jump to spools.

Why did you build it with new axles and a 30 spl, I would have done the 33 spl and TT.
The difference in 30 to 33 spl are 2000 more ft lbs tq capability.
If you're going to change axles and traction devices it's always best at that point to go with the largest avail at that time...
Set up is wrong, or you have bearing issues.
Richmond makes noise when they're set up wrong.
The only gear sets that have piss poor quality are those that are not lapped or run in, those are usually cheap copy versions or usa standard.

Why would you bother to build such motor only to lose potential.... The idea you're losing low end and response is not true, unless you're building a 383 or 440 and not making changes to what and why the 383 and 440 respond that way.
