He says it's not spring loaded. So doesn't that make it a defrost switch? The convert switch is spring loaded. The top stops when you let go of it. Yes I own one.

Can you show the tag, you either have some wrong codes there. Or a Lynch road tag so we need to see where they are placed. L2 X9 is I terir trim code for low level black vinyl bench seat TX9 is for paint. One of three parts of the car depending on where on the tag it is located.
