I'm betting on you. I work horrid hours and 6 days per week for the next few.
Also I finally opened the box last night to see all the goodies, and somehow they shipped me a Reed Switch sender instead of the floatless one.
Contacted Mike @ Tanks Inc this morning, sent him a photo of the...
Between the fuel leak that I haven't solved with the current tank, new gaskets, lock rings & senders, to the gauge being off, it's time for an upgrade I think and this system seems to be checking the boxes. Not trying to win any originality awards with this old girl anyhow.
OK, seems clear now that the tank gets its venting (as it empties or builds any pressure) from the skinny line that goes from the top of the filler to the underside of the trunk.
Yes, I clearly need to get underneath and look at it closely. Thanks for the clarification.
I figured it was already venting somehow or I guess the factory tank would have collapsed in on itself by now.
@1 Wild R/T I have a dumb question. If using that setup on a '67, the Tanks Inc TCR14-T, since the stock tank does not have the vent ports on the pickup or on top, would those just get blocked off along with the return port or ...??
I'm looking at replacing my tank and the setup you describe I...
Got to put the new cooling system to the test this past weekend. Got in a traffic jam on the highway that slowed to an idle crawl for miles. Normally with the previous rad/fan & no shroud setup, I would have been in a full blown panic and likely pulling over to wait it out.
With the new 26”...
Is your sender one of the new aftermarket ones or an original? An original sender may not work with the aftermarket gauge. Just like the newer senders don't often work with the factory gauge. Linear/non-linear issues from all I have read on here.
Depends if you are keeping it to enjoy or not, in the end it is your car.
I'd just replace the cam/lifters on such a low mile example of that. If you are concerned with value for a sale, then I think that stroking it will alter the value, and possibly not for the better.
Just my opinion of course.

The GTX and the Satellite got the ribbed panels. Belvedere did not. GTX had the dark argent finish and the Satellites got the light argent, but both have the ribbed finish panels.
@GrampsPolara I see you are north of the border like me.
Their head office is in Wisconsin. They ship from multiple warehouses around the USA. They seem to have fair pricing, and the shipping to Canada is as bad as anyone else, but it's normally FedEx, fast, and includes any duties and crap.
