I purchased the 3M Trizact discs, the backing pad, and the Dynabrade palm sander with the Grey handle
for correct stroke. We'll see how it works out, but the videos on YouTube have me impressed! After the
8000 grit, you barely need to polish it!
My friend owns a body shop and he has a Makita because of the weight and performance. The Milwaukee
and DeWalt are high quality but are very heavy. After using one on a whole car you'll wish you had a lighter one!
If you're only doing spot buffing, It won't matter, but if you're doing a whole...
I would totally wrap the inside of the garage with polyethylene sheeting, stapling it to every surface.
Then I would use the fiberglass batts because they have the most bang for your bucks. After that, I
would put 1/2" Thermax foam sheathing up before installing the drywall. Remember, you are...
I once set one of my chair legs on the coolant hose and burned up my torch. Had water pumping
out on the floor and was oblivious until it went PFFFFFHT!
Do you have a protective sleeve on the torch hoses? It's really easy to step on the individual
hoses and cut off the coolant if they're loose. You can use an air cooled torch if you don't plan
on going over 150A. I personally like a water cooled torch because I can do 250A without a sweat...
When I'm crawling around under the car, I drag a 20,000 lumen 4 footer under there with me and
believe me, There ain't no shadows!!!!. I can't see anymore either.
I'm not sure, but by the design of the cast iron heat exchanger next to the head, that may
be a Saylor Beall compressor head? If it is it will run forever! Do some homework and find out.
Yes, the bigger ones run at half the RPM and put out more air. NIce!
I just bought one of those fancy 250 Lb.Ft. split beam torque wrenches on Flea Bay that was made by
Precision Instruments in DEsPLaines, Il. They make the Snap-On unit. These days you have to do alot
of detective work to find out who makes what for who!
Take a six point socket OR a six point combination wrench and grind the face back about a eighth of an inch
to get rid of the chamfer on the end. This should give you a good bite! Also, rusty bolts get smaller when
they rust, so try a Metric wrench and grind it back!
Yeah, I have a 45k BTU Hot Dawg in my 26 X26' garage, well insulated in Illinois and I keep it
heated all winter. Great deal on that 50k! I paid more for mine ten years ago! Sweet.
