Need advise on manifold sealing INDY 440-3

So I got the manifold back from Willson and test fit on heads. They are 440-1 (345cc). Chambers were worked on, then heads decked to keep CC correct. This was all done by INDY in their 345 cnc package. With a .015 gasket I can install bolts but they are at the very top of the slot hole (Meaning...

Resurfaced my flywheel now my clutch pedal sets higher than my brake pedal

Correction: You will lose play as disk wears, but will gain play when surfacing flywheel. I would think this would be minimal unless it needed a lot of material removed.

Resurfaced my flywheel now my clutch pedal sets higher than my brake pedal

As the disk wears, or, in your case surfacing your flywheel, you will lose pedal free play. This can be adjusted on the rod connected to your z-bar. If you have everything correct, when fully engaged, pedal should come up high enough that the over center spring will take the pedal up to the...

Road trips: They highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the car.

When I spoke with Dwayne Porter 6 years ago about possibly changing my Lunati Voodoo 60302 cam, I provided him all of the details of my motor and car. He told me he wouldn't change a thing. I was very surprised by his response and asked him why. He said it was mostly due to my pistons. I'm...

Resurfaced my flywheel now my clutch pedal sets higher than my brake pedal

Pedal stop should be the same. Flywheel thickness has nothing to do with pedal height. Adjustment will change the air gap but the pedal height is controlled by the stop pad. The stop pad is fixed so if you took the rod off before you could pull the pedal up to where it is now. Your previous set...

    70 glove box liner question

I contacted Detroit and haven't heard back. I have bought many things from them and happy with their product line. I think they just missed on this one. Maybe they have it already figured out? I sat and stared at the flap thinking I must be missing something and didn't have the old one to go by...
