MP purple cam and lifter recommended preload?

Hi all, Firstly, yes I have searched on here and I've seen there is already quite a bit of preload info, but I couldn't see any that relates specifically to the cam and lifters we have. Koffel built us a 440 stroker a few years ago and the build sheet says it's a P5007698 cam. Googling only...

    Direct mount shifter TR6060

I’m looking for a direct mount shifter for my TR6060 swap. Does anyone have a recommendation for a company or product? I am thinking about going with the one Race Tuning in California sells. I have included a picture of their product. Any insight into this is appreciated.

Flat plates are after market items. The factory plate is stamped and raised off the hood except for the edges. My factory plates look like these reproductions.

My floor pan has jagged edges also that PPO had not trimmed, especially the flat part that's close to the shifter linkages. Which was a bit too close for comfort while installing those linkages. Thankful they cut too little rather than too much. I'll trim those later. The trans cross member...

    Are you a narcissist?

That is true. Who defines "normal" ? There is most certainly some range, essentially gray areas and no hard lines to define what is normal. Tests can be skewed to steer people into categories, the interpretation of the results can be biased to get a desired result of the authors of the test.

    Low compression 505

I am far from an expert but this is the cam I have in my 440-495 at 9.8 to 1: This cam is smaller than yours, I have less cubes than you but almost 2 points more compression. Mine runs fine but sure was more snappy below 4000 with a smaller cam. Wouldn't you have to spin yours to the moon to...

    Are you a narcissist?

I've always questioned what "normal" is by definition when it comes to a human being. We're all over the map.

    Are you a narcissist?

Dear sir, Much to the contrary, a build that took 31 years from start to current, both my kids had a hand in it. Not once did any of my builds take presidence over family. Still had time for little league, drama classes, house payments made, and efforts made to insure the wife always had a place...

Road trips: They highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the car.

This Tremec TKO doesn't like to shift at speeds of 6000 rpm and above. Because of this, a cam that peaks much higher than that seems pointless. Here are the specs of my cam from Lunati: The engine isn't a slug below 2000 rpms but it was more responsive with the smaller '528 cam, that is for...
