1955 Willys PU in Upton Wy $1,500 not mine

I bought a 1957 GMC Napco 4x4 from south east of Upton. It rained on the way home. When I went to clean it out, the pockets making the cab corners were holding water. That truck sat outside and had zero rust holes.

sealant on metal water pump gasket. copper coat spray?

I like CC. In a seal like this, it is a good and uniform coating in a spot where extra sealant in the cooling system is not preferred. The pump showed with a double layer tin gasket with what they called a rubberized finish. It looked more like paint. The block cleaned up with no pitting...

not me, I don't wear panties, or anything else. Wading is never a problem. Deal with THAT mental image I noticed it because it was 1/2 the price of the last one I saw, but as happens here, I Was educated that not all 69-70 parts are created equal.

BTW... The Toyota dealership has a 392 SuperBee setting on the lot. Somebody scared themselves and bought a Toyota to deal with the trauma.

sealant on metal water pump gasket. copper coat spray?

You used that in place of gaskets? Toyota calls it "rubber" coating. I will go with it as I have gotten into binds by trying to out engineer the factory practices. *Depending on the engine surface

sealant on metal water pump gasket. copper coat spray?

Embossed metal gasket. I know sealant might interfere with sealing if too thick. Google search results are less than informative whence gets equal answers of yes and no. I'm working on a Toyota 3.5 Sienna
