I'm stuck at 92 octane where I live and my 440 is having a hard time with it. It seems to want more advance, but I'm constantly fighting detonation if I get into it (and where's the fun in not doing that).
Even at around 5 degrees btdc I'm getting detonation - and it still seems to want more...
Any ideas why I have to pump the living **** out of my 440 any time I want to start it cold? Warm she fires right up, but if she sits for a day I have to pump it like 50 times while turning it over to get her to fire.
Changing timing doesn't really seem to help. I am still running points (long...
Took a drive in my Coronet this weekend and heard a big snap, then the engine puttered out shortly thereafter. I pulled over and figured my distributor had just gotten a bit loose or something.
Well, after several attempts at adjusting the distributor location I realized I might have a bigger...
About to put my radiator in. I never did have the original, but I found a 26" numbers correct radiator. My car was factory with the 440 and RAM Air hood, but the 26" radiator does not seem to line up with the holes I have. Wouldn't a 69 Coronet R/T come with a 26" radiator?
Also, did these...

Thoughts?
Got brand new carpet, and don't have my old one to refer to regarding positioning. Do I just cut a hold in my new carpet and push the dimmer switch through? Is there a piece that goes around the switch to prevent it hanging up on the carpet or anything?
Thanks :headbang:
Don't suppose anyone can provide me with the angle of the main fuel supply nozzle that comes out from the sending unit in the gas tank. I found one for an A-body, and that seems to make sense given the angle of the fuel line, but I'm not sure it is the same on a B-body. Trying to get my ground...
Hello, Folks. New to this forum. Wondering if you can help me with a quick quesiton - 69 Coronet R/T 440, auto.
Does it matter which way the harness goes on the neutral safety switch? Seems like it could go either way.
Thanks!
