Hey can anyone give me the skinny on what sizes of pitman arms were used on the 1970 Satellite with PS and a small block? The one I got from Moog was too small it measured 1” diameter.
Apparently there is a “Large Sector” pitmans but not sure what was used and on what back then from the...
FSM says 50-80 FtLbs. I have the large single cylinder and I assume thats the difference but the FSM only mentions the KH 4 cylinder?
What should the torque spec be on the single cylinder caliper mounting bolts?
Thanks MF
Hey guys I need to replace my Pitman Arm washer. I measured 7/8. Can anyone tell me how to get one from either Oriley’s or Autozone locally? Can’t find one based on model yada. Descriptions don’t give size.
Just wondering if anyone recently purchased one of these.
Are these a simple lock...
I just purchased a factory mount front swaybar that I assume fits through the K-Member. My Satellite never had one so I have never seen how they get mounted. I am in the process of welding the tabs on the lower control arms.
My question is where/how does the swaybar mount to the K-Member? Any...
These are in from the factory I believe. They look offset ie eccentric. What do you guys think? Did they use these in the factory or were these added later?
Guys I am contemplating adding the a sway bar in the future and I am now in the process of rebuilding my front suspension. My current Lower Control Arms do NOT HAVE THE SWAY BAR BRACKET/tab.
Do they make the brackets that I can weld on? If so what about locating them for the correct placement...
What Where When: cars if any came out of the dealers with hood pins? Any? Were the dealers putting any on?
I assume why they were put on was for race application hood security under stress conditions. Anything else?
What do you think of street cars having them? They certainly have a look of...
Hey guys, I’m about to install my hood essentially for the first time since the hinges were removed and are now back in. I don’t have any initial markings to indicate where the hood should start.
Any inputs/hints/tricks on how to initialize hinges such that I don’t bind on first closure prior...
So I have a few questions and Ill just bang em out right now.
Front wheels are squealing over 20mph driving straight. Car does not pull but IS A BIT TWITCHY. I am not to familiar with bbodies drivability because all I have been doing for the last year is work on it lol.
Bbody with a small...
I am wondering what torque converter (diameter and particularly the stall speed) that may have came from the factory in my car.
The car is:
1970 Plymouth Sport Satellite
318 originally
904A
273 peg leg originally
Single exhaust
(How did they get away with calking it a “sport” lol?)
I assume...
When are you going to be done?
Are you done yet?
Your almost done huh?
I don’t expect everyone to be car people. Nor do I expect everyone to be technically minded etc. But it drives me crazy that some people have no clue. No clue as to what passion is. No idea what craftsmanship is. No interest...
Ok so after installing new window hardware in my restoration I found that my rear quarter window glass was not adjusting to the center point at maximum adjustment. The glass was canted in about 1/4” off. Using the FSM I tried all the adjustments but could not quite get there. This was on both...
What type of manual transmission and bell housing was used for small blocks in a 70 bbody? Would a 340 bell housing work with a 833 transmission? Was there a difference in transmission’s for sb and bb? Meaning was there an 833 for bb and a different one for sb?
I installed my roof rail seal and it went ok. However I would like to see a picture of the front piece and how it’s glued in and trimmed, if trimmed. I noticed this is a large interference fit causing door alignment issues as it not trimmed of in place with glue yet.
