I just blew the diff apart in My Coronet RT. Looking for a drop in center section with sure grip and either 3:55, 3:73 or 3:91 gears. Only interested in 489 or 742 case. I’m in the Hamilton area of southern Ontario, Canada. The closer the better but I’ll drive up to 3 hours for the right part...
Just picked up a super clean 77 440 block. It has stock bores with virtually no ridge. The serial number pad is blank and there is an “R5” cast into the front passenger side. Would this be an over the counter or warranty block?
I’ve got a 69 Coronet RT with Ramcharger hood. I’d like to swap out my stock cast iron intake for a Edelbrock RPM which is 1.7” taller. Does anyone know if that will interfere with the Ramcharger air box. If so, is there a decent aftermarket 2 plane intake out there at the stock height? Thanks
I currently have a mild 440 in my car with 9:1 compression. This number was calculated many years ago when the motor was assembled. What I do recall is the compressed head gasket thickness was .025 and 213 heads that were milled and cc’d to 88cc’s to make the 9:1 compression with the P4529429...
My car has a non matching numbers 440 in it. I know it’s a long shot but are there any websites, threads or groups dedicated to reuniting old Mopars with their drivetrains? Vin# is L9G178581. Thanks
Looking to buy a 1969 Super Bee. Must be driveable, must have a clean straight body and nice paint. I don’t want anything that requires any paint or bodywork. Ramcharger hood, 4spd and buckets are all a bonus. I don’t care about numbers matching because I plan on eventually building my own...
We had heavy thunderstorms in the forecast today and I didn’t get a chance to buy a cover for the car yet. Fortunately I had something on hand that did the trick
back in 1994 I was strolling through a salvage yard in Hamilton Ontario and saw in the distance what appeared to be a Mopar big block laying upside down in a mud puddle in the middle of a lane way. Upon closer inspection it became evident that I was standing over a 1970 440 that was stock...
I recently purchased a 70 GTX that’s been off the road since 1982 that is Originally form South Carolina and now in Southern Ontario. The engine is seized and the engine bay looks to be all original and unmolested. Upon running all the numbers I’ve come to find that the vin and serial numbers on...
I’ve owned a few Mopars in the past, the last of which was an In Violet 383 4 spd ‘70 Cuda which I sold in 1994 for $3800 so I could put a down payment on my house.....sure wish I could have a mulligan on that one. Anyhow, I’ve been out of the game for a while but I’m back and now have a ‘70 GTX...
