Any one of yall have a 66 Plymouth junker that still has the fender tag? Looking for one that’s missing on my car, the blank spot looks dumb. Ain’t trying to make something that ain’t correct but at least a 66 one.
Thanks
I have some 452 heads (1975). I built the 440 in 1983 for a Challenger but never on the road. Put it in my 64 race car in 93 and raced it 8 years very sparingly. Been on engine stand since 2001, opened it up and still very clean inside, will change out oil pan to fit the 65 street car. My...
I’m looking at a 70 block that’s supposed to be a HP block. The stamping looks funny, didn’t look straight for some reason, can someone get me a picture of a correct one? I won’t be going back up to the guys house for two weeks but I’d like to have a pic to compare.
TIA
Looking for some older enamel paint white and dark blue single stage type. Enough to do my 65 Plymouth. Around the Va area, I don’t mind driving to pick up. Brand not a problem.
Also the mopar Race Hemi spray cans.
Been thinking on the Dana rear axle that will be in my car (66 Belvedere Hemi 4 speed). It has 4.10s now but was going to 3.54. This will be a cruiser no racing and thinking that rear is still to high so I’m putting in the 8-3/4 with 2.94 gears. What do y’all think? Maybe 3.32s instead?
I’ll not...
Question for you body guys or tech ones. I have a 65 Plymouth that I’m converting to a 2 door from a 4 door. I have quarters off of a doner car and sitting here thinking of how much I want to cut off each. Use the whole 1/4 or patch in what It will take. I have the skills and platform to do...
I’ll not say what type of car but it’s rough and rusty no drivetrain, missing a bunch of parts too. He has an insane idea of fixing it up!? Any here’s the rub, he was asking about the chassis numbers (where) I told him that number is not the vin number, which the fender tag will tell that (not...
Hey, I have an NOS regulator that has rust on one side of cover and some of the stencil is gone. Who can restore this to like new? I can paint it but no way of doing the stencil
I’m wanting to do a turbo on my 360 magnum, so I need basic advice. Plus if you have any extra pieces laying around to start this project let me know. Please don’t ask what my goals are! Something like photo is what I’m looking to do.
I’ve been around these cars for 60 years and learn something new almost every day. I was checking the trans mount on my 65 Belvedere with 273-904 trans. A shock to realize the 904, in that year, is the same length as the 727 trans.! It has a long tail shaft unlike the later slip joint 904s. I’m...
My 66 Hemi needs a .140 thick gasket, I can do two neoprene coated steel gaskets .031 and a .083 piece of 6061 aluminum spacer to make the right thickness. What are y’all feelings about the aluminum piece? Back in 1980 I wrenched on a friends Ford Shotgun engine, 588 cu in. Roush built. Crank...
I have a lead on a nice set of quarter panels (2 door post) to use on my 65 post car. They look the same but is there any BIG differences that I need to watch for?
Is there a chart for gear ratio teeth on the 64 trans, I have an 18 tooth, not sure what is was for, rear long gone so can’t check ratio. /6 3 speed manual trans.
Thanks
Can these still be bought?
I took the seat belts out of a 64 Plymouth for the covers, HOW did the factory get the belts in or out of those covers? The belt metal at the floor is bigger than the cover and can’t slide out to the top, the clip at top looks to big to go out the bottom also, they were toast so I cut them to...
Is the rubber piece that goes in the channel of door frame for glass of a 64-65 sedan being made? I broke mine up so bad trying to get it out. This was in the back windows of a 2 door sedan but it looks the same for the door too.
